Iranian Music Warmly Welcomed in U.S.

TEHRAN The February 27 edition of the ****Washington Post**** reported on an Iranian classical music concert in the United States, performed by Iranian musicians Mohammadreza Shajarian, his son Homayoun, Hossein Alizadeh and Kayhan Kalhor.

According to the report, the Iranian musicians performed at Lisner Auditorium on February 25 and were warmly welcomed by the audience.

The concert consisted of two one-hour sets.

Iranian classical music has been influenced by Iranian classical poetry.
